There are multiple vacancies available. These positions can be performed from the following communities: Kamloops, Prince George, Fort St John, Dawson Creek, Smithers, Terrace, and Williams Lake. Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week as per the Telework Agreement.

As part of the Consumer Taxation Branch team of professional staff, you will organize and carry out specialized tax audits on businesses across a varied field of industries.

The Tax Auditor will ensure compliance with the province's consumption taxation statutes, including Provincial Sales Tax Act, Motor Fuel Tax Act, Tobacco Tax Act, and Carbon Tax Act. The role will be responsible for establishing tax liability, proposing audit assessments, and finalizing agreement with the taxpayer of proposed assessments.

Salary$69,185.43 - $78,814.47 Annually Plus 6.6% Temporary Market Adjustment And $34.20 Bi-weekly Isolatio
Education Requirements- Professional accounting designation CPA - CA, CGA, CMA, issued by a Canadian Accounting Association*.
- Minimum of 2 years audit and/or accounting experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5, BC driver's license or equivalent, with no L restrictions.
- Preference may be given to applicants with audit experience in a consumption taxes environment.
- *Note: If your financial designation was obtained from outside of Canada, you will need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through an applicable Canadian Accounting Association in order to be considered.
