Join our Authorizations Northeast Relations Team, where expertise meets diversity in a close-knit group of fewer than ten dedicated individuals. This established team plays a pivotal role in natural resource decision-making and fostering crucial relationships with First Nations and Indigenous communities. Comprised of skilled subject matter experts, we collaborate closely with technical staff, managers, decision-makers and partners in managing natural resources. As a First Nations Relations Analyst, you'll be entrusted with several key responsibilities: handling intake, reviewing and preparing information for First Nations, conducting thorough research and initiating crucial communications. You'll also analyze how activities may impact First Nations rights and interests, provide essential administrative and facilitation support during engagements with First Nations and interest groups, and offer project assistance as needed. Salary | $69,760.70 - $79,322.69 Annually |
Education Requirements | Qualifications for this role include: - Bachelor's Degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience; OR - Diploma in a related field and two (2) years related experience; OR - Certificate or coursework in a related field and three (3) years related experience; OR - An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. |
Experience | Related experience includes the following: - Project management and reporting - Conducting research and analysis related to land use, resource management, social or economic development issues. - Experience capturing, converting, creating, editing and maintaining digital information in a GIS environment. - Working with natural resource tenures (i.e.: land, water, wildlife, mining, etc.). - Participating in consultations/negotiations with partners and/or First Nations. |
