Applications are invited for a one-year, full-time Contractually Limited Appointment (CLA) at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2019, in the Indigenous Studies Program at McMaster University. A package of benefits as well as a professional development allowance will be provided. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses on topics including, but not limited to: Indigenous Health, Theory and Methodologies, Indigenous Sovereignty, Indigenous Politics, Indigenous Open Topics. Successful candidates must have at minimum of a Master’s Degree in Indigenous Studies or a closely related field. Preference will be given to those with experience and expertise teaching undergraduate courses in Indigenous Studies. The teaching load is six three-unit courses across two terms, with three courses offered in the Fall term and three courses offered in the Winter term. The position is initially for one-year but is renewable subject to good performance and continued funding.
