As Business Analyst you will lead at the working level the delivery of commerce/digital IT solutions on behalf of and in conjunction with the Source business. The primary deliverables include the elicitation of business, system, functional and non-functional requirements and participating in the successful development and deployment. The incumbent will work for and alongside an IT Team Leader or Project Manager, and will partner with other IT teams as well as external vendors. Success requires a highly motivated individual who thrives in a constantly changing and exciting environment, applying creativity and innovation in the development of solutions essential to support The Source’s current and future success. The focus for this role is providing commerce and digital store and operations related processes.

 

  • Eliciting/gathering and documenting business requirements, developing business knowledge and providing domain consulting and ensuring compliance via a Traceability Matrix.
  • Translating (or working with IA / UX teams to translate) business requirements into system requirements and collaborate with Design, QA and Development team members to ensure that requirements are understood and met during future project phases.  Review design/interface specifications for completeness.
  • Test the system as appropriate/required and track the testing of others (or interface with a test manager) where required to ensure a quality product is delivered.
  • Prepare or assist in the preparation of deployment documentation, business deployment plans to ensure continuity.
  • Participate in deployment and post deployment activities to ensure the system is running as it should.
  • Assist in developing and updating other project deliverables such as charter, plans, feasibility analysis, etc.
  • Research and identify industry best practices related to business needs.
  • Help resolve issues, risks and dependencies within the track and across different tracks.

 

 Skills we’re looking for.

  • 3 year college or university degree or equivalent
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Project and Visio
  • Process Modelling experience
  • Experience with Responsive Design
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary JAD sessions
  • Significant experience dealing with multiple vendors in the creation of multi-tiered end-to-end solutions.
