We are hiring one (1) Full Time, Permanent Manager, Project Delivery position working out of Edmonton, AB!

 

The Manager, Project Delivery is accountable for the end to end execution and completion of major capital projects within Application Services. Within this role, the Manager, Project Delivery is expected to adhere to Information Services System Delivery Life Cycle processes and procedures and work through all project stages, including Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring and Control and project closure activities.

What you'd be responsible for

  • Delivering all project milestones for the assigned projects; projects could range from 6-36 months in duration with budgets ranging from $250k-$20M and team peak size of 50-60 internal and external resources.
  • Participating in all aspects of project execution phases, including project chartering, resource management, project execution, monitoring, and closure as prescribed by EUI Major Capital Project's Software Development Life Cycle policies.
  • Identifying and managing the necessary budget requirements for the provision of project resources and services to match the project requirements of all Application Services Capital projects.
  • Ensuring the delivery of optimal results against appropriate performance metrics as related to the assigned projects. These include:
    • Metrics associated with budget, time and quality
    • Developed understanding of IS and Supply Chain sourcing practices and mechanisms available
    • Master Service and sole source agreements
  • Ensuring deliverables of direct report positions are aligned and integrated, stratum appropriate and include adequate performance metrics.
  • Developing and nurturing a high performance, high discipline, safe, accountable, focused, innovative and achievement-oriented work force that is easy to do business with.
  • Ensuring appropriate financial reporting requirements are met throughout Application Services Projects. 

What's required to be successful

  • Computer Science or Engineering degree or Computer Engineering/System. Technology diploma or Management Information Systems.
  • Experience with System Delivery Life Cycle using one programming languages.
  • 2+ years Supervisory experience and Operational or Project Management Experience.
  • 5+ years of experience within the IT industry.
  • Good understanding of Oracle Projects, Oracle Financials, OTL, and Oracle Purchasing or similar ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated experience to deliver technical IS solutions to business requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience with large and complex applications with multiple interfaces. 
  • Customer relationship skills, demonstrated responsiveness, analytical thinking, problem solving, planning, and communication skills are required.
  • Strong leadership and facilitation skills in advising and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
