Duties: The Centre for Learning and Program Excellence (CLPE) was established in 2018 to advance teaching and learning excellence at Red River College. Reporting to the Manager of Learning Technologies and Educational Development in the CLPE, the Audio Visual Services Supervisor is responsible for the day to day operations of Audio Visual Services, leading a team of Media Technicians responsible for repairs, maintenance and troubleshooting of classroom and boardroom AV equipment. The incumbent oversees the evaluation, purchasing, maintenance, and support of audio visual equipment for Red River College. The position is also responsible for collaborating with peers in the CLPE, program Chairs and faculty, and IT Services in order to provide guidance and consultation on AV teaching technologies, ensuring that adopted technologies align with teaching and learning best practices to enhance learning environments at the College.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in a field related to electrical systems, IT/Networking or media technology. Extensive equivalent related experience may be considered.
-Experience organizing and maintaining a workshop and stock inventory
- Several years experience working in the audio visual industry
- Experience gathering and developing business and IT requirements to establish and execute project plans
- Experience maintaining a budget
- Ability to take initiative, work efficiently, and prioritize tasks while exercising reasonable judgment in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to changing circumstances
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience building and supervising teams
- Experience installing and supporting audio visual equipment in an academic setting
- Successful completion of AVIXA Quick Start to the AV Industry and Essentials of AV Technology online training

CONDTIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- This position may be required to travel
- Valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver's License
- May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
