Salary Range (plus eligible to receive a performance based incentive, applicable to position) :

$117,887 - $159,495

Agriculture lending expertise rewarded
Provide leadership and direction to the team responsible for special credit policies and procedures. You’ll optimize recovery results on large loans and manage a small number of complex files. This position is designated bilingual (English and French), and the successful candidate must be able to communicate in both of Canada’s official languages.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and mentor a high-performing team including goals and objective setting and development opportunities

  • Determine team priorities, communicate deadlines and resolve issues

  • Authorize administrative and writeoff activities

  • Manage reporting and recovery on  the most complex accounts

  • Oversee the sale of recovered assets

  • Negotiate with trustees, tenants and purchasers

  • Mitigate reputation risk through intensive management of complex files

What you'll need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or finance, and at least seven years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience); MBA or professional designation is an asset

  • Knowledge of commercial and agriculture lending practices and FCC lending policies

  • Understanding of Canadian creditor legislation, recovery practices, bankruptcy and receivership

  • Working knowledge of contract law
