Duties: Reporting to the Chair of Creative Arts, a part-time Instructor is needed to teach for the fall 2020 term in the Digital Media Design Program. The instructor will be responsible for the development and delivery of curricula and evaluation of student performance for Video 1. The course will focus on teaching students to shoot, edit, and how to use audio to create professional videos, as well as storytelling, developing interview skills for storytelling, and how to use B-roll footage.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of post-secondary education in media production or a directly-related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Several years of recent and related industry experience.
- Extensive experience with DLSR Video shooting and editing, B roll, professional interviewing and storytelling, documentary film making.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Experience in developing and delivering presentations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Values Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- Commitment to lifelong learning

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience teaching adults in a post-secondary setting

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
