Legacy Bowes is seeking an experienced and dedicated Executive Director to lead the Saskatchewan Indigenous Enterprise Foundation initiatives. This role will be pivotal in bridging financial services with the unique cultural and economic needs of Indigenous communities. The Executive Director will provide strategic leadership, oversee operations, and foster relationships to ensure SIEF services meet and exceed the expectations of their stakeholders. The Saskatchewan Indigenous Enterprise Foundation Inc. (SIEF) offers First Nations entrepreneurs the access to capital they need to develop businesses in Saskatchewan. SIEF is recognized as one of Canada's first and largest Aboriginal Financial Institutions (AFI), which are autonomous, Indigenous-controlled, community-based financial organizations. We provide business lending solutions and business consulting services and administer lending programs and services. Key Responsibilities - Leadership - Supports SIEF vision, mission and goads internally and externally through relationship building and advancement of SIEF - Strategic Planning - Develops and implements strategic planning to ensure growth of SIEF - Business Development - Develops and implements operations plans with targets and metrics to support organizational growth - Program Development - Development and implementations of programs and services to contribute to economic growth of First Nations and SIEF - Risk Management - ensures all legislative compliance is maintained and updated according to federal, provincial standards including articles of incorporation - Loan Administration - Accountable for total loan portfolio including risk management and lending practices are adhered to - Operations - responsible for all SIEF financials, data management, account assets and administrative efficiencies - Human Resource Management - Fosters teamwork through positive staff engagement along with strong HR practices - Board Relations & Governance - Guide and assist the board in achieving governance excellence in fulfilling their fiduciary responsibilities | |
Experience | Skills & Qualifications - Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Commerce - 10 plus years leadership experience - Experience in finance, banking or economic development - Knowledge of NACCA and AFOA - Experience working with First Nation's culture, laws and regulations - Ability to build strong relationships within multiple levels of organizations - Experience with Human Resources and Change Management - Superior communication skills verbal and written - Experience with Board Governance and public relations - Proficient with MS Office and data base management |
