Ministry of Attorney General: Victoria Legal Counsel 1/2/3 Legal Counsel Level 1: $ 92,531.96 - $119,850.85 annually Legal Counsel Level 2: $127,821.13 - $165,767.24 annually Legal Counsel Level 3: $170,694.72 - $196,017.52 annually An exciting opportunity to practice public sector finance law in the Central Services Group The Central Services (CS) Group within Legal Services Branch (LSB) of the Ministry of Attorney General is seeking to fill one full-time permanent Legal Counsel 1/2/3 position, providing legal advice and services to certain areas within the Ministry of Finance and in support of LSB colleagues on government finance matters. Government finance legislation, transactions and core government policy are relevant to all areas of legal practice within the Province and have a significant impact on government operations. The successful applicant will engage in dynamic and varied opportunities to provide legal advice and support our clients. This position will primarily provide advice to the Treasury Board staff, the Provincial Treasury, the Risk Management Branch, the Office of the Comptroller General, the Financial and Corporate Sector Policy Branch, the Crown Agencies Secretariat, the Public Service Agency, as well as the Public Sector Employers' Council Secretariat (in relation to non-labour relations matters) and other areas of the Ministry of Finance not assigned to other groups within LSB. Finance lawyers in the CS Group also work closely with LSB lawyers in most areas of government practice.
