Are you northwestern Ontario’s next great radio host?

This is an amazing opportunity to be at the helm of a successful and popular morning radio show serving northwestern Ontario, from White River to the Manitoba boundary and throughout our far north. You will be based in Thunder Bay, Ontario, and host a show that resonates with and connects northerners throughout our vast region.

You are a smart journalist that wants to perform a leading role on the Superior Morning broadcast including the development and execution of the program. You will perform a variety of tasks associated with the preparation and on-air presentation of program material, including on digital, mobile and social streams. If you are committed to staying connected with the news of the day, with your listeners and with your team – even after the microphone is turned off at the end of each show, then this is the ideal job for you.
Education RequirementsIdeally, these traits are underpinned with a journalism degree (or equivalent) and/or five years of comparable/relevant experience.

Your excellent reporting, writing and interviewing skills make you a strong interviewer in a live format.
You are a critical thinker whose superb analytical skills support your ability to make complex subjects easily understood by a variety of audiences.
You are a creative storyteller with a proven journalistic track record, and an ability to tell stories with credibility and authority in digital/mobile spaces and on-the-air.
Early adopter of emerging trends, you like to create, from new programs to new techniques for telling stories across multiple platforms.
You are creative and flexible with the ability to generate original and innovative material.
You take pride in being self motivated, and working effectively under pressure and deadlines.
You understand that in the new world, an ability to work various shifts and overtime is critical. Once it is safer, you want to get out into communities and build connections and relationships.
