Instructor, Creative Arts (Part-Time Term) Instructor Positions Available in Creative Communications, Graphic Design/Communication Design, and Digital Media Design Programs Creative Arts is seeking instructional interest for future part-time positions for several programs areas. Applicants are to clearly demonstrate how they satisfy the required qualifications for all programs as well as program specific qualifications in their written submissions. Candidates must identify the competition number they are applying for in the subject line of the email. An eligibility list will be created for similar casual, part-time and term positions. DUTIES Drawing upon extensive experience, Instructors will be expected to lead dynamic, engaging classroom instruction at Red River College’s Roblin Campus. Exceptional technical expertise paired with strong communication skills are required to inspire students in the Creative Arts department. Ideal candidates will have a demonstrated passion for teaching adult learners and a commitment to lifelong learning. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR ALL PROGRAMS • Experience delivering impactful lessons to a wide range of adult learners • Exceptional verbal communication skills • Dynamic presentation skills • A strong commitment to organizing and delivering high-quality education • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Values diversity, equity, and inclusion • Demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning PROGRAM SPECIFIC REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS *Please indicate on your cover letter which program(s) and specialty you are applying for Digital Media Design (Interaction Design and Development, Video and Motion Graphics, or 3D Computer Graphics) • Extensive and relevant professional experience in digital media design industry • Post-secondary studies with a strong focus on digital media design • Expertise with interactive digital media (IDM) software • Ability to transfer existing skills to new platforms and applications • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of digital media design using industry best practices Graphic Design/Communication Design (Graphic Design, Interaction Design) • Extensive and relevant professional experience in graphic design industry • Post-secondary studies with a focus on traditional and digital media design • Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite • Ability to transfer existing skills to new platforms and applications • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of traditional graphic design and digital media design using industry best practices Creative Communications (Advertising, Public Relations, Journalism, and Media Production, Writing Foundations) • Extensive and relevant professional experience in communications industry • Post-secondary studies with a focus on advertising/marketing, public relations, journalism, film/media production, or writing foundations • Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite • Ability to transfer existing skills to new platforms and applications • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of related professional work CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada • This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends | |
