Native Child and Family Services of Toronto is an Aboriginal, community controlled multi-service agency. Reporting to the Associate Director of Holistic Healing, the Mdewgaan Lodge Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the culturally based clinical programming at the Mdewgaan Lodge, an urban
residential healing lodge for mothers with their children who have experienced trauma and may be dealing with addictions and mental health concerns.

Major Responsibilities:
The Clinical Supervisor, Mdewgaan Lodge is responsible for:
· Ensuring clinical program is implemented and delivered in a manner aligned with NCFST’s cultural grounding and accountability structures.
· Ensuring clinical programming provides culturally safe, trauma informed support related to addictions, mental health, parenting, healthy attachment and post partum issues.
· Supervising a team comprising residential counsellors, case manager and support workers to ensure consistency and excellence in service delivery. Supervision includes daily programming oversight, direction and consultation, outlining and ensuring accountability in roles and responsibilities, regular meetings with staff in individual and team contexts, scheduling appropriate training and ensuring cultural
engagement and safety.
· Observing residents during programming and pr oviding consultation to staff in response to shifting needs and concerns of residents and assisting in managing resolutions.
· Coordinating admissions in conjunction with the Case Manager.
· Working in collaboration with the Senior Supervisor of Housing to ensure a cohesive residential experience for participants and comprehensive direction for staff.
· Alternating on call hours and vacation coverage with the Senior Supervisor of Housing.
· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
· MSW or related degree in ad dictions or mental health. A combination of education and related experience may be considered.
· Significant experience in trauma informed clinical practice.
· Experience in clinical supervision.
· Experience in a residential setting is an asset.
· Deep under standing of the unique factors that impact the lives of Indigenous peoples.
· Knowledge of Indigenous worldviews and a keen willingness to deepen this understanding.
· Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
· Demonstrated organizational skills.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.
· Experience with Microsoft Office applications and other similar software applications.
· Demonstrated understanding of workplace health and safety practices and understanding of a
Supervisor’s responsibilities under the current legislation.
· Demonstrated understanding, and commitment to, integrating the Native Child and Family Services of
Toronto Mission and values in to practice, service and relationships.
· Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, to maintain effective communication and working relationships, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, tact, sensitivity and build strong internal relationships.
