Ministry of Forests Multiple locations We currently have a temporary opportunity until June 30, 2023. A permanent appointment may result from this temporary appointment. GIS Analyst A multi-faceted role in an advanced technical environment BC Timber Sales (BCTS) manages about 20 percent of the province's allowable annual cut for Crown timber, generating economic prosperity for British Columbians through the safe, sustainable development and auction of Crown timber. BCTS operates in 33 communities and directly supports over 8,000 jobs across BC. The GIS Analyst works in the Northern GIS Service Centre and conducts advanced spatial data analysis for the five northern business areas supporting program and management decision-making on resource planning, land management and other program issues. OR - Equivalent combination of training and five (5) years related experience. - Experience designing and developing customized spatial/database tools. - Experience delivering complex spatial/tabular analysis projects in support of client's business needs. | |
