Terms: Full Time, Permanent

Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Milk approximately 470 cows per day with 4 groups being milked 2 times per day.
2) Leader in milking parlour in a team of milkers
3) Follow Standard Operating Procedures for milk set-up and take-down, milking procedure, and pressure washing in holding area and dairy parlour walls.
4) Maintaining milk quality by recognizing udder infection, testing with in parlour milk test and taking clean samples for further testing.
5) Monitor, recognize and treat livestock health problems
6) Assist with calving, sorting and transporting cows between outside pens and the barn.
7) Develop and balance feed ration
8) Carry out breeding program
9) Maintain livestock performance records
10) Operate farm equipment and assist with equipment maintenance
11) Complete assigned tasks for general barn clean up and outside yard work.

Working hours: shift work between 4:30AM – 7:00PM, working hours may vary depending on stage of production, 2 days off on weekends but will work on one weekend per month
