| Instructor, Health Care Aide Certificate Program (Term) Portage Campus Position Location: Portage la Prairie Campus (90km outside of Winnipeg, MB) Part-Time, Term Position Available Anticipated February 3, 2020 up to June 28, 2020 An eligibility list may be created for similar casual, part-time, full-time, and term positions Red River College is a leader in applied learning and innovation. Duties: Red River College Portage Campus is looking for part-time term Instructors to teach in the Health Care Aide Certificate Program. Responsibilities include classroom instruction, supervision and guidance of students, student evaluation, advising of students, maintenance of student records and other professional duties related to instruction. Examples of subject areas are Activities of Daily Living, Gerontology, Growth and Development, Long Term Care, Interpersonal Relationships, Safety in Health Care and Health Care Delivery. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Registered Nurse with license in good standing - Significant related industry experience - Excellent presentation skills, which includes the use of technology - Excellent written communication skills - Excellent verbal communication skills - Excellent interpersonal skills - Experience using Microsoft Office tools - Effective leadership skills - Values Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion - Commitment to lifelong learning ASSET QUALIFICATIONS - Experience training others in Health related topics - Experience teaching in a post-secondary environment - Experience using a Learning Management System such as LEARN - Certificate in Adult Education CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT - Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada - This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends - Incumbent must hold a valid College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Certificate - This position may be required to travel - Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check - Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check | |
