Duties: Red River College Health Services department is expanding and enhancing its nurse run clinic for students, staff and faculty. Working as an integral team member, the Nurse functions within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. This position will be instrumental in enhancing our Immunization program for students, staff and faculty. This role is key in the initial point of contact for individuals who require access to mental health resources. In addition to these roles, the Nurse also provides direct support to the Walk-in Clinic. The Walk-in Clinic sees an average of 80 clients per week with a variety of illnesses, injuries and requests for care. The Nurse also provides education to departments and programs on health related issues (ie. allergy and first aid action plans). This position will be based out of Notre Dame Campus, however the incumbent be required to provide support to all Red River College campuses. This will include the Exchange District Campus as well as mobile immunization clinics, requiring travel to regional campus locations. The Nurse is responsible to ensure that clinical records are kept in accordance with all legislated acts such as PHIA, FIPPA, etc.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Nursing; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Registered Nurse in good standing with College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba
- Occupational Health Nurse, COHN, COHNC or equivalent related experience including in non-health care settings
- Canadian Nursing Association (CNA) specialty certification in Occupational Health Nursing or must be willing to obtain
- Maintains professional and any specialty certification standards
- Ability to carry out multiple demands with frequent interruptions, including urgent and/or emergent care
- Ability to effectively function in an independent working environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with many departments and people
- Certified Health Care Professional level CPR
- Ability to provide best practice advice related to maintaining a healthy learning and working environment for a diverse population within professional scope of practice.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Experience working with a diverse population

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with Community Mental Health Resources
- Experience with Immunization Administration
- Experience working in Echart

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- This position may be required to work overtime
- This position may be required to travel
- Incumbent must hold a valid College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Certificate
- Incumbent must hold a valid and Current CPR Certificate
- Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check
