We are seeking casual Nuclear Medicine Technologists to join our team at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops. We have a supportive environment and a strong team approach supported by opportunities for on-going education and career growth.

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with departmental policies. Duties include preparing patients for examination, operating nuclear medicine equipment, monitoring patient during procedures, preparing, dispensing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, performing routine quality control tests on imaging equipment, monitoring area utilizing appropriate detection devices and disposing of radioactive substances and contaminated items by following established guidelines.

All of our sites are connected through our regional Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS) integrated into our single Electronic Health Record providing real-time patient histories anywhere within Interior Health. We have clinical advisory groups that are working together to ensure best practice throughout Interior Health.

This is a casual position which means there are no guaranteed hours. Work requirements can vary between 0 and 37.5 hours per week. Once hired into a casual role, employees are eligible to apply for internal postings including permanent part-time or full time positions.

CredentialsCurrent certification with CAMRT
Education RequirementsSuccessful completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program recognized by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
