Right candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Highlight’s vision for occupational and environmental health and safety commitments by implementing the overall health and safety management process. Maintain excellent relationships with workers and all levels of management to support specialty business objectives. This role will be responsible for warehousing and mechanical departments.

Duties are as following:
- Inspect warehouse and mechanical workplaces for safety or health hazards
- Investigate health and safety complaints, workplace accidents or illnesses
- Collect and send samples of materials for analysis
- Perform on-job site hazard assessments, complete reports and maintain records
- Work directly with facility managers to implement and maintain health and safety operating procedures
- Actively promote a healthy workplace and maintain a strong safety culture
- Develop, implement and introduce health and safety plans in the organization
- Develop and present site-specific training programs
- Inspect internal processing methods, prepare reports and ensure that regulations governing health and safety are followed by all employees and management
- Support enforcement procedures to prevent any potential threats for establishment and respond to occurred cases to conduct fine or close an establishment
- Conduct pre-defined external audits

SalaryWe Offer Guaranteed Pay Of $36.10 Per Hour; 30 Hours Work Week.
Education RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in a discipline such as chemistry/biology, environmental studies, health or safety and risk management is strongly preferred for this position.
Essential SkillsConfident English communication and presentation skills are required.
ExperienceWe require at least 3 years of relevant experience. We are looking for an efficient professional who takes of health and safety commitments with responsibility towards our employees and organizational objectives; is capable to aggressively address problems; assume source of issues and provide solutions.
Work SettingsMay be required variant work hours to support activity of shift work or critical response.
OtherThe work location is in our head office at 391 Creditstone Road, Concord, ON, L4K 1N8 Canada.

This employment position is subject to vacation pay, overtime and double pay, and other involved Company benefits.
