Salary $62,718.94 - $71,507.64 annually

As an Intermediate Software Developer, you will be a member of the development team working with business analysts, contracted developers and subject matter experts on operational maintenance and project work for the TACS application, a complex COTS application used in the Revenue Division of the Ministry of Finance. In addition to software development, your robust technical skills include experience with configuration management, forms creation/ maintenance, templates, business objects and data table designs. Your expertise also includes assessing requests for change, clarifying requirements with business analysts and subject matter experts, investigating and determining solutions and implementing appropriately.

This key role requires a strong knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies. You will be following industry best practices for software development and will use your position to provide business solutions within the Ministry of Finance. Qualifications for this role include:

• Degree, diploma, certificate in computer science or related discipline;
OR
• A combination of education, training and equivalent experience may be considered. Equivalent experience is defined as actual experience in managing and supporting major business applications in multiple areas such as planning, designing, developing, supporting and/or maintaining applications.
• Demonstrated experience in investigating and implementing complex IT integration challenges.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting, testing, implementing software and hardware solutions.
• Experience in structured and object orientated programming in a complex rules based environment.
• Experience in managing and developing software applications in a Microsoft windows server environment.
