Duties: Red River College requires experienced Cashier/Servers within our Food Services Tim Horton's location at our Notre Dame Campus. Successful candidates will be scheduled Monday through Friday, between 6:30am and 3:30pm for 4 to 6 hour shifts. Professional and courteous customer service skills are required to create exceptional customer experience in all areas of the Food Service department. Responsibilities include entering customer’s orders using the Point of Sale (POS) system; completing transactions by the acceptance of cash, debit and credit cards, Red River College cards and internal charges. A final cash out is completed at the end of the shift. Cashiers are responsible to ensure their work area is clean, well maintained and stocked and industrial restaurant equipment is used, cleaned and maintained in a safe manner. This position also includes serving at various styles of events and are responsible for set up, clean up, execution of the event and assistance with basic food preparation in the kitchen as required. Being highly motivated, accurate and willing to work flexible hours is a must to meet our customer’s needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working as a cashier
- Experience with face-to-face customer service
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in the food and beverage industry
- Experience in the handling and storage of food
- Experience in the use of restaurant equipment
- Valid Food Handler's certificate

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check
- May be required to work at various RRC campuses
- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs (22 kg)
