Working together as a team to create a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen. Providing the Kitchen team with the tools that are needed to execute exceptional cuisine to the members. Job Duties: • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods according to the restaurant's menu • Supervise kitchen helpers • Oversee kitchen operations in a very busy restaurant • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment • Clean kitchen and work area as per standards • Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies • Train junior kitchen staff in preparation and cooking Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following: • Constant standing and walking throughout shift • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs • Must be able to work night shifts (ex. 11:00pm - 7:00am) • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling • Flexible schedule - must be available any night of the week, schedule based on business • Able to work independently and have experience with cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment would be an asset | |
