Kingsville Stamping Limited was founded in 1986 and the company started with one 30-ton press and has since grown to 24 presses, 3,000-ton capable operation. Kingsville Stamping is a well-equipped production facility that is supported by engineering, maintenance, tooling, welding/assembly, and repair/rebuild. Our employees are the foundation for our high industry standards in regards to quality, reliability, flexibility, and on-time delivery.

We are looking for a Tool and Die Repair Technician who has at least 3 years in the Automotive stamping industry. 3 months probationary contract, leading permanent hire.

Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible

Own Tools/Equipment

Tools; Steel-toed safety boots; Safety glasses/goggles

Salary: $29.00-$36.00 (master), $37.00 (lead) /hour

Responsibilities and Duties
Primary Duties
* Follow die repairs and PM of Tools as per production schedule
* Troubleshoot die and press issues to ensure that they are addressed in an accurate and timely manner for continued automotive metal stamping production for all three shifts.
* Confirm performance of die by installing die, inspecting operation of automation or manual press die, making adjustments, and comparing a finished product to specification.
* Repair dies - double, triple hit, mislocation
* Preventive maintenance (PM) on all tools and dies.
* Operate tool and die room machines and cooperated with CNC/CMM team.
Measure parts to spec and have a basic working knowledge of GD&T.
* Die repairs in the press

Secondary Duties
-Organize dies and move dies to tool shop with overhead crane
-Clean up after repairs
-Any other duties assigned by the tool and die team lead

Able to work three-shift rotations bi-weekly, Days 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Afternoons 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, Midnight shifts: 11 pm to 6:00 am, Must be worked up to 48 hours.

Qualifications and Skills
Education

Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.)

Tool and Die Maker Trade Certification(433A); (optional)

Skills

Experience in manufacturing automotive stamping dies

General Machining and preparation of tooling components

Assemble and align stamping dies (progressive and transfer)

Troubleshoot tooling issues in the press and determine production inefficiencies

Experience with progressive dies, transfer dies
