The Senior Authorizations Supervisor provides specialist services to the Natural Resource Sector in evaluating resource applications, conducting applied research, and leading or participating in complex projects. This role monitors the use of the resource, conduct technical reviews of plans and proposals and evaluates against regulatory standards. This position will supervise professional and technical staff including assignment of work, development and evaluation of performance plans and approval of leave.

Qualifications for this role include:

• Degree in the natural resource field, or equivalent as recognized by the relevant association.
• Registered, or *immediately eligible for registration, as a fully licensed Registered Professional Forester (RPF) with the Association of BC Forest Professionals (ABCFP). NOTE: *Immediately eligible is defined as a currently registered member in good standing as a Professional Forester in another Canadian Jurisdiction and can immediately transfer to the ABCFP. Confirmation of registration / eligibility will be required before an offer of employment can be made.
• Experience in negotiating and consulting with stakeholders in natural resource management.
• Comprehensive experience (field/office) working in resource management.
• Experience supervising, leading, coaching and mentoring staff.
