| Ministry of Children and Family Development: Prince George This is a full-time temporary opportunity with an end date of January 31, 2023. This opportunity may be extended or made permanent. Psychiatric Social Worker $68,546.51 - $78,183.63 annually plus 1-Grid Temporary Market Adjustment The Psychiatric Social Worker works as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health Team and in coordination with other community agencies and professionals to provide a range of mental health services to children, youth and their families, when the child or youth is suffering from serious emotional, psychological, behavioral or psychiatric illness. The Psychiatric Social Worker provides services such as community consultation services, training/capacity building opportunities and ongoing sharing of current literature. Through a multi-disciplinary approach, our objective is to collaboratively enhance the capacity of communities to plan and care for challenging youth through a closer to home focus. Qualifications for this role include: - Master's in Social Work, Educational Counselling, Clinical Psychology or Child and Youth Care or comparable graduate degree at the Master's level, or equivalent. o NOTE: If your degree was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must provide a basic report by the closing date of this posting to be considered. o NOTE: Successful MSW prepared candidates are required to seek and obtain clinical registration with the Board of Registration for Social Workers (BRSW) within 6 months of having completed the required 3000 hours of supervised clinical practice. - One (1) year or more of relevant clinical experience working within an adolescent mental health environment. Applicants who do not fully meet the required qualifications may be considered for this position, but at a lower classification. | |
