| Education Requirements | • Graduate from a recognized nursing program at the baccalaureate level supplemented with 2 years recent pediatric and/or palliative care nursing experience or equivalent combination of education, experience and training • Eligible for registration with British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP) • Must have a valid CPR • High integrity; creativity; balance, good judgment and objectivity; high vision/conceptual capabilities; consultative and facilitate/collaborative; sense of humor • Excellent time management skills • Flexibility to work with high energy, creative people • Thrive and effectively manage priorities in a changing, ambiguous environment |
| Essential Skills | QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE • Demonstrated clinical competence • Knowledge of pediatric and palliative care principles • Good computer skills including MS Office • Effective verbal/written English communication skills • Work various/rotating shifts (days/nights/weekends) • Team player; member of an interdisciplinary team • Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize work • Ability to instruct/train/orientate others • Effectively identify problems and resolve conflicts • Operate related equipment and devices • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position (lifting/transferring/moving children in a safe manner) |
