|The Position

Reporting to the Manager of API, Network and Directory Services (ANDS), the Student, Application Development will be given the opportunity to get hands on experience developing and contributing to current Payments Canada technology projects. Payments Canada will provide the Student, Application Development with the tools and technologies in order to make meaningful contributions towards these efforts.

Some of the key activities for this role will include:
- Assisting in writing automation tests and other Quality Assurance (QA) practices.
- Assisting the development team with bug fixes and writing software features as required
- Participating in QA activities and develop detailed test cases and scenarios for multiple use cases.
- Use of Agile practices
- Contributing in developing test automation utility libraries and enhance in-house automation framework.
- Participating in other tasks related to Application Development

You'll also gain hands-on experience working with some or all of the following technologies and tools:

Tools:
Confluence, JIRA, GitHub, IntelliJ

Technology:
Angular 5+, JavaScript/Typescript, Java/Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Automation Frameworks (TestNG, Mocha), Jmeter, Google Cloud Platform, Docker

Salary$17.00-$20.00/hour
Education RequirementsCurrently a post-secondary student with a focus in Computer Science/programming or related field.
Essential Skills- Outstanding work ethic, ability to work in a dynamic team environment, and excellent problem-solving skills
- Intellectual curiosity, ability to learn quickly, and strong attention to detail
LanguagesEnglish And/or Bilingual
Additional SkillsExperience working with any of the above listed tools and technologies is a bonus.
