Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Prince George Regional Financial Analyst Emergency Management British Columbia (EMBC) is the lead coordinating agency in the provincial government for all emergency management activities. As such, EMBC's mission is to be responsible to British Columbians for leading the management of provincial-level emergencies and disasters and supporting other authorities within their areas of jurisdiction. EMBC's Financial Recovery Team administers the province's financial recovery program to maximize the federal government's Disaster Financial Assistance Arrangements (DFAA), Indigenous Services Canada agreements and other cost-sharing programs. The Regional Financial Analyst provides financial support to EMBC regional offices and ministry partners. They develop, implement and maintain ministry-specific account processing procedures. While also ensuring the integrity and maintenance of related financial records and supporting the budgeting and forecasting function for response and recovery activities. Qualifications for this role include: - Diploma in business administration, public administration, or finance, and a minimum of two (2) years related experience; an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. *Related experience must include: - Two (2) years experience working with financial accounting systems, procedures and internal controls. - Two (2) years experience providing interpreting and providing advice on financial policies/procedures. - Two (2) years experience implementing and maintaining financial processes/procedures. - Two (2) years experience tracking, analyzing and reporting financial forecasts. | |
