| J & G Arts Farms Ltd is in need of Pork Production Technician Employment Terms: Full Time - Permanent Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Engaged in all day-to-day operation within the specific area of the swine production unit assigned (i.e. breeding, farrowing, nursery, finishing) 2. Formulate feeding program 3. Feed inventory 4. Recognize and treat certain livestock health problems 5. Maintain swine performance records 6. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns 7. Manure handling and storage 8. Follow safety and bio-security procedures 9. Select livestock for sale 10. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment 11. Perform other related duties as required Working Hours: 40-50 hours/week; 7:00am - 5:00pm; work may vary depending on stage of production; 2 varied days off Wage/Benefit: $16.30/hour; 10 days paid vacation Employment Requirements: - Education: Completion of secondary school is required - Work Experience / Skills: - At least 2 years' experience in handling swine is required - Must have a valid G License - Must have own reliable mode of transportation - With positive attitude towards work - Must be able to lift 25 kgs - Must be able to work both independently as well as with a team - Must be willing to learn and be punctual | |
