Ministry of Finance Victoria Audit Manager $90,900.08 – $118,400.03 annually Multiple positions are available Bring your expertise and sound professional judgement to this critical leadership role The Ministry of Finance's Internal Audit and Advisory Services (IAAS) supports Treasury Board by providing independent and objective assurance and advice to support governance, accountability, performance management practices and effective financial management. The Audit Manager coordinates audit projects and manages sensitive situations in an objective, professional and proficient manner. This key position reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for reviewing and monitoring work plans; understanding and synthesizing complex issues and findings from various project team members and providing advice and direction on difficult audit issues. As the ideal candidate, you possess demonstrated experience in managing and prioritizing multiple projects, tasks, and teams concurrently, including oversight of project objectives, budgets, and quality assurance. You are an analytical auditing professional able to oversee and maintain internal quality processes to ensure a high professional level of audit work. An effective communicator with conflict resolution skills, you establish professional credibility and foster an environment of trust and accountability with internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications for this role include • Completion of a recognized accounting designation CPA (formerly CA, CGA, CMA); and/or • Other relevant education, including MPA, MBA, CIA, CISA. • Equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered. • Minimum of 5 years of current or recent audit and/or advisory experience (with preference given to internal or performance audit experience); and • Minimum of 2 years of current or recent experience in a supervisory role (project or otherwise). | |
