The Department of Chemical Engineering offers a co-operative, five-year accredited program leading to a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Chemical Engineering. The Department also offers graduate programs leading to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), Master of Applied Science (M.A.Sc.), and Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degrees. Research activities of current faculty members are in the fields of polymer and process engineering, green fuels and renewable energy, and biomaterials and nanobiomaterials. The Department invites applications from outstanding candidates for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the areas of energy harvesting and storage, or green process engineering. Exceptional candidates in other areas of Chemical Engineering may also be considered.

Education RequirementsEligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in Ontario is a requirement. Relevant industrial experience would be an asset.
ExperienceCandidates must have a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field, and a baccalaureate degree in Chemical Engineering. Candidates shall hold a strong research profile (e.g., evidence of an emerging scholarly record, ability to establish and maintain an independent, externally funded research program), evidence of high-quality teaching and student training, and a capacity for collegial service. The successful candidate is expected to establish and maintain a dynamic, externally-funded and internationally-recognized research program. Candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to upholding the values of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion as it pertains to service, teaching, and scholarly, research or creative activities and will be expected to demonstrate their ability to work with a diverse student population.
