Centre Manager - BETAC (Term) Research Partnerships & Innovation Position Location: Notre Dame Campus (Winnipeg, MB) Full-Time, Term Position Available Anticipated August 1, 2019 up to March 31, 2020 Possibility of an Extension This competition may be used to establish a 12 month eligibility list of qualified candidates for future vacancies. Duties: Reporting to the Executive Director, Research Partnerships & Innovation, the Technology Access Centre (TAC) Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, business strategy and operational management of Red River College's Building Envelope Technology Access Centre (BETAC). The incumbent manages the financial and human resources of BETAC and ensures appropriate quality measures and standards are in place. The incumbent actively markets the services of the TAC and secures applied research projects in sufficient volumes to fund the ongoing operation of the TAC. Acts as a bridge between researchers and businesses to ensure that impactful products, technologies, policies, procedures and services are effectively transitioned from research to practical applications in the real world. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to expand the reach of BETAC as it undergo the renewal application process. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered - Several years relevant experience in a management role, preferably in technical service delivery - Experience marketing technical services and conducting business development activities - Experience developing business plans and establishing and meeting business plan goals and targets - Strong knowledge of building/construction industry and relevant supply chain in the region - Strong business acumen in project planning and management - Experience working with granting agencies and familiarity with granting agency guidelines - Strong written communication skills - Excellent organizational and analytical skills - Excellent leadership and team management skills - Values Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion - Commitment to lifelong learning ASSET QUALIFICATIONS - Formal project management training or experience - Eligible for registration as a P.
