The opportunity

We are evolving to meet the needs of our growing business. We are seeking a Business Analyst - Business Planning & Enablement who will focus on enabling the Canada Gas 5-year business strategy through definition of its digital roadmap and oversight of its delivery. You will be working with all areas of Canada Gas business to review/define strategic goals and targets, identify digital and data opportunities and translate them into actionable and impactful digital projects. You will partner with Information Systems (IS) and other business units to ensure fast delivery, no duplication and timely value realization.

What you'll do

  • Facilitate development of digital roadmaps supporting Canada Gas 5-year business strategy: identify highest value digital and data opportunities, define target capabilities and outcomes
  • Liaise with Business Partners and IS to ensure solutions meet current and strategic needs
  • Partner with IS to steward delivery of digital solutions against digital roadmap outcomes and to plans (cost, schedule, quality)
  • Facilitate and coordinate annual Canada Gas IS Portfolio planning process, prioritizing and rationalizing portfolio of opportunities against Business and Digital roadmap outcomes
  • Manages all digital and pilot activities for portfolio, aligning efforts and value across delivery teams
  • Collaborate, share and reused US Gas, Liquids and Power and storage digital solutions to accelerate value delivery
  • Monitor and optimize portfolio OM&A spend against long term Roadmaps

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related area
  • Minimum (4+) four plus years of relevant industry experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills are mandatory
  • Strong facilitation skills are mandatory; must be able to lead meetings efficiently, encourage healthy discussions to gather required information in order to make decisions, and achieve the meeting objectives
  • An effective listener and observer possessing the ability to translate knowledge obtained into appropriate action
  • Ability to convey information clearly and effectively; excellent oral and written presentation/communication skills
  • Ability to design and deliver presentations to broad audiences
  • Effectively manages and completes multiple projects concurrently and timely

Preferred Qualifications

  • Results oriented and possess strong skills in the areas of team facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and project management
  • Maintains ongoing positive presence with co-workers, customers, other stakeholders and outside entities through professional communications; able to handle and resolve difficult situations
  • Requires demonstrated ability to be self-sufficient and self-motivated
  • Working understanding of cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/O365), MI/AI and analytics would be an asset
  • Working knowledge and experience in Agile project delivery
  • Proven experience in digital innovation, design thinking/working backwards techniques and methodologies
