| Number of Positions: 1 Location of Employer: 4120 Ridgeway Drive, Unit #26, Mississauga, Ontario L5L 5S9 Location of Work: Around Ontario Term: Permanent Hours: Full-time (overtime over 44 hours per week is occasional) Vacation Pay: 0% of gross pay Benefits: As per union agreement Main Duties: • Inspect, test, adjust and repair automatic doors in accordance with technical specifications and instructions for each brand of automatic doors. • Install automatic doors on-site at the customers’ facilities. • Prepare and submit technical reports and make suggestions for technical improvements. • Inform customers about safety or repair deficiencies at the facilities. • Maintain contact with the territory dispatcher throughout each work day. • Update Corrigo (dispatching system) regularly and consistently. • Maintain and create relationships with existing customers & potential customers. • Willing to undergo AAADM training and become certified. • Maintain correct inventory on the company vehicle to adequately service the given territory. • Maintain company provided vehicle in good operating condition. Skills, Work Experience and other Requirements: • At least 4 years of related work experience. • Superior electromechanical repair skills. • Excellent knowledge of and experience with Standard Automatic Revolving Doors Brand: Boon Edam – BLASI; Special Designed Automatic Doors with Integrated Automatic Sliding Door Brand: BLASI; Automatic Circular Security Portal Brand: BLASI; Automatic Sliding Doors Brand: Record; Automatic Swing Door Operator Brand: Record; Automatic Folding Door Brand: Record; Automatic Pedestrian Security Access Installation and Service. • Good analytical and decision making skills. • Good human relations and team skills. • Good planning and organizational skills. • English language skills at a functional level (as determined by Record Automatic Doors Canada Inc.). Environmental Conditions & Physical Demands: • Occasionally lift 50 lbs. overhead. • Often work on a ladder with hands overhead. • Often work on knees for extended times. • Often work on hard surfaces. • Repetitive hand motions. • Independently travel each day by company provided van around Ontario. • Occasionally work at Company’s warehouse. • Occasional overnight travel required. • Ability to work overtime as needed. | |
