We are seeking an Applications Developer who has knowledge and experience in BI Tools, mainly Power BI and SAP BW. This individual has the proven skills, competencies and capacity to provide consultation and support on our main BI tools - Power BI and SAP BW. As a member of the Digital Data & Analytics team, this position will also be a key resource to assess new BI tools that will fit our ecosystem.

  • Power BI Corporate gateway and admin operation
    • Gateway software upgrade
    • Data source driver installation
    • Gateway entry creation and maintenance
    • Admin portal configuration
  • Host Power BI developer Teams Site, SharePoint site
  • Power BI data modeling training sessions
  • SAP Business Warehouse Development:
    • Support the Financial team (specifically Treasury) with BW Data model enhancement and support
    • Work with Business Object reporting tools (Crystal Report, Web Intelligent, Design Studio, Lumira) to build new, enhance existing and support current reports.
• Works closely with the technical development team to design, develop and implement Business Warehouse development objects through sound BW Modeling on HANA techniques;
• Executes and integrates system unit testing to validate that the business requirements are met by the SAP system;
• Aligns architecture and modeling to business processes and requirements;
• Creates documentation for technical requirements and SAP Business Warehouse solutions as well as knowledge base articles (KBA) for end-user consumption;
• Analyses causes and provides alternatives and recommended solutions for complex problems;
• Works collaboratively with the stakeholders on Reporting initiatives to ensure efficient and effective use of the reporting tools;
• Coordination of the issue resolution and maintenance of reports within SAP and related applications and ensuring this work is performed in accordance with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Address break\\fix tickets submitted through ServiceNow in a timely fashion.

Minimum Qualifications

• Degree in information technology or computer science or related field
• Four (4+) years of related work experience
• Basic understanding of SAP modules, processes and key functionality; basic knowledge of SAP BW Business Content (BW 7.0 and higher)
• Extraction Transfer Loading (ETL) experience and expert knowledge of ETL objects (info-packages, DTPS, transformations, datasources, process chains)
• Experience in working collaboratively in an integrated business systems environment
• Excellent analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to organize thoughts and ideas in a logical manner to be clearly communicated
• Demonstrated capabilities in judgment, thinking adaptability, systems thinking, customer service orientation, influencing and impact, and self-assertion
• Basic experience handling technical integration between multiple systems for reporting - SAP ECC, SAP BW, BOBJ, BPC
• Experience with standard SAP report tools (BEX Query Designer), the Business Objects (BOBJ) suite of applications (WEBI, Analysis for Excel, Design Studio, Crystal Reports)
• Knowledge of BW reporting structures (composite provider, multi-providers, infocubes and DSOs)

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise on Power BI and knowledge on other BI Tools
• Knowledge of Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) and integration with the Business Warehouse is an asset
• SAP Training Certifications in SAP HANA, BW and BOBJ is an asset
• Experience with SAP HANA Data Provisioning and using SAP LT Replication Server (SLT) is an asset
