BCIT's School of Health Sciences is seeking Auxiliary/Casual Simulated Participants to support student practice and examinations under BCIT's Simulated Participant Program. Under the supervision of a licensed Instructor, a Simulated Participant (SP) supports the experiential and simulated learning by portraying patients, family members, and/or health care professionals in simulated clinical problems or scenarios for course practice, assessments, and examinations. The SP provides a consistent and realistic portrayal of real-life clinical scenarios, predefined for the course learning needs, student practice and examinations. This job is on an on-call, as needed basis. Hours of work are dependent on simulation needs and the incumbent's best fit for the characteristics needed in the scenarios being simulated. Hours of work are on a casual basis and can range from 4 - 8 hours a day, 1 - 8 times per semester when called for in for a simulation.
