• Bring excitement, enthusiasm and commitment to the College's ICT Solutions for Business Program; • Contribute to the regular and ongoing development of the Program including learning resources selection, as well as program and course curriculum design and revisions; • Innovate, develop and deliver courses, labs and/or workshops in the classroom/e-learning; • Engage students in the classroom, lab and distance learning environments, ensuring learner awareness of curriculum, track and provide constructive feedback/evaluation of academic progression using a variety of assessment tools; • Actively advance student success by assisting, advising, coaching, and mentoring students with course choices, career possibilities and opportunities for life-long learning; • Provide an environment that makes effective use of available resources based on cooperative learning theory while incorporating a variety of teaching and learning strategies to meet various learning styles; • Participate in and contribute to special events at the program, school and college levels; • Actively participate in departmental functions, initiatives and committee work; and • Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act. | |

Education Requirements | Candidates must possess the following: • A college, university or equivalent advanced certification that relates to ICT Solutions for SMEs; The ideal candidate will have: • A Master's degree or 2 year experience lecturing, lab, tutoring, and e-learning at the college, university, community, or corporate level using innovative classroom presentation techniques; |
Essential Skills | Specific skills in some or all of the following areas would be beneficial: • Business Software Solutions (ERP and CRM), Microsoft Dynamics AX, NAV, GP and CRM; • E-commerce and mobile application development; • Object Oriented Programming, Systems Analysis and Design, and Process Modelling; • Network and Data Security, Mobile First Programming, IOS, Android, and Responsive Design; • C#, ASP.NET, and Java; • Web programming and design, XML, JSON; and • Data management solutions (for example Sharepoint, .NET, BizTalk and Office 365) and SQL. |
Experience | Candidates must possess the following: • Broad extensive experience in the ICT Solutions for SME industry; • Experience with student success strategies, academic advising, and adult learning theories; and • Proficiency with ICT Solutions methodologies, application design and ICT administration. The ideal candidate will have: • A minimum of five years of experience working in the field; • Experience working with CISCO; • Experience with e-commerce (for example, Shopify); • Working with Indigenous students, faculty and community members; • A Master's degree or 2 year experience lecturing, lab, tutoring, and e-learning at the college, university, community, or corporate level using innovative classroom presentation techniques; • The ability to maintain and develop community, industry and government contacts; • A commitment to education equity teaching diverse student populations and working with colleagues or clients from various backgrounds; • Ability to excel in a team environment and a demonstrated commitment to life-long learning; and • Previous curriculum and academic program development experience is desirable. |
