Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development Kamloops Pricing Business Analysis Forester $68,008.54 - $85,592.73 annually The Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development has a mandate to manage specified Crown land and resources in a manner that embraces the economic, environmental and social goals of government. The Provincial Timber Pricing Program is focused on addressing the Ministry’s mandate under the Ministry of Forests and Range Act, specifically to assert the financial interests of the Crown in its forest resources in a systematic and equitable manner. The Regional Operations Timber Pricing Program is explicitly responsible for ensuring that timber measurements, pricing, billing, and log export authorizations are conducted correctly. The Program is also responsible for implementing policies and procedures to minimize risk, ensure accuracy while enhancing forest sector competitiveness. The Pricing Business Analysis Forester ensures that the revenue requirements identified in the legislation, regulations, Ministry Service Plan, policy and procedures are met. This role works to explore the revenue implications of program activities, analyzes data to identify trends and initiates business improvements that streamline processes and improves certainty that correct revenues are being received from the harvest of forest resources.
