The opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Integrated Planning and embedded in the Canada Gas Operations’ Eastern Region, this position is part of a team responsible for the development, planning, optimizing and management of multi-year work management programs related to TC Energy's asset operations, maintenance, and capital programs to achieve asset availability that meets commercial operations requirements. 

 

The Maintenance Program Manager will work collaboratively with Operations, Facility Reliability and Integrity Engineering, Commercial Operations, Supply Chain and Capital Project Management departments to identify intermediate to long-term activities and resource requirements. You will then initiate the planning / forecasting process leading to the achievement of asset management objectives and effective resource planning.

 

Please Note: This position may be based out our regional office in Bolton, ON or at Station 148 outside of Montreal, QC.
 
What you’ll do

  • Develop, manage and report on intermediate to multi-year asset work programs, including capital programs and outage plans, to optimize project and maintenance work execution
  • Review, analyze and report on asset work programs, maintenance indicators and resource demand forecasts
  • Support the development and management of budgets, business plans, KPIs and monthly reporting for Facility Reliability and Integrity work
  • Effectively transition / communicate work management demand plans with Management and Field Work Planners
  • Collaborate with other TC Energy departments when necessary to enable the most effective and efficient work programs for the facilities, areas and region
  • Work across organizational boundaries with all departments to resolve work planning conflicts and acquire and/or distribute resources across facilities to support the completion of TC Energy's highest priority work
  • Review preventative maintenance programs to improve delivery and reduce effort and/or operating cost across organizational boundaries
  • Report and present outage, maintenance and resource forecasts and recommendations to various stakeholders on a monthly basis

 
Minimum Qualifications

  • 8 years related experience with a Technical / College Diploma in a related field 
  • Proven experience with work planning or project coordination
  • Demonstrated experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
  • Understanding of risk management and project management processes
  • Strong conflict resolution, problem-solving and facilitation skills

 
Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and French, both written and verbal
  • University Degree in a related field
  • Ability to apply decision making tools and techniques quickly and accurately
  • Ability to make timely, defensible decisions that consider both the short and long-term impacts
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership across multiple groups without direct control
  • Understanding of gas pipeline operations and field maintenance practices including field operations experience 
  • Prioritization skills and the ability to manage numerous and complex processes simultaneously
  • Developed project management and analytical skills supported by use of software applications, including, SAP, MS Project, Access, Excel, and Word
