Position Location: Notre Dame Campus (Winnipeg, MB)

Full-Time, Term Position Available
Anticipated Start mid September 2019

Duties: The Senior General Ledger Accountant's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: preparation of complex financial analysis for management, government, and other funding partners; financial guidance and advice to college administration by performing of financial analysis and preparing various financial reports as required; participation in month-end and year-end processes; assistance with year-end audit, and assistance with the budget process; provision of accounting guidance and consultation to selected departments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Accredited Accounting Designation (CMA, CGA, CA, CPA)
- Extensive general ledger accounting experience
- Considerable financial and accounting experience including complex financial analysis
- Experience with month-end and year-end processes, external audit and preparation of budgets
- Strong knowledge of working within an ERP system
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team, with limited supervision
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving ability and adaptability to a constantly changing environment
- Ability to multitask and produce accurate work within stringent deadlines
- Ability to be customer focused and results orientated

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in financial forecasting and budgeting
- Experience working in a post-secondary education setting

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- This position may be required to work overtime
- Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check
