| Four grooms and one exercise rider needed for the 2018 thoroughbred racing season at Woodbine Racetrack at 555 Rexdale Blvd., Etobicoke, Ontario M9W 5L2. G Cox Racing Inc. is looking for grooms with at least five years experience with thoroughbred racehorses at a race track. Applicant must have knowledge of horse anatomy, physiology and nutrition they must be able to detect any health and lameness problems at an early stage apply and fit all tack and equipment used in training, racing and for medical purposes. Applicants must be reliable and physically fit. Salary is $17.20 gross per hour based on a 42 hour work week and 1% bonus based on horses earnings when they finish 1st to 3rd. Riders must have at least five years experience with galloping thoroughbred racehorse is at a recognized race track. Applicants must be reliable and physically fit cannot exceed 145 pounds in weight. Must be able to teach the young horses the skills they need to race, maintain conditioning on older horses, be able to breeze horses and school them at the gate, detect any lameness problems, clean and maintain tack and equipment. Salary is $22.08 gross per hour for 38.5 hour work week riders in the barn split a 1% bonus based on the horses earnings when they finish 1st to 3rd.
