Your orientation to the OR team will be tailor made to your experience as a new staff member. Resource Nurses are available in the all specialties to ensure there is on-going support and teaching for all staff members. Our department consists of nine OR Theatres offering Trauma, ENT/Retinal, OBS/Gyne, Neuro, Vascular, Ortho, Major Plastics, General, Urology, Dental, and Laser cases. The staffing complement consists of a Patient Care Coordinator, Clinical Educator, RNs, LPNs, Anesthetic Assistants, Peri-Operative Aides, and Unit Clerks. We currently have permanent part time opportunities available to RIH. | Education Requirements | Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC). |
| Experience | Advanced preparation in the Clinical Perioperative Nursing Specialty and one year recent related clinical experience in the assigned practice environment in an operating room similar in size and scope to the facility or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
