This is a temporary opportunity until June 30, 2026. This position may be extended or become permanent. Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to two (2) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.

Indigenous Relations Liaison
$69,969.42 - $89,774.32 annually

As an Indigenous Relations Liaison, you'll have the opportunity to build strong, lasting connections with local Indigenous communities, leading consultation activities that honor both our legal commitments and shared goals. You will balance the business goals of BCTS with Indigenous interests and values, ensuring meaningful engagement. As part of the Indigenous Relations team, you'll leverage your cultural agility and ability to navigate complex issues, contributing to BCTS' reconciliation efforts in a meaningful and impactful way.

Salary$69,969.42 - $89,774.32 Annually
ExperienceQualifications for this role include:

- Registered, or eligible for registration, as professional (i.e., Registered Professional Forester) with the British Columbia association as required by the specialty area, and two (2) years of experience related to natural resource (i.e., forestry) or Indigenous Peoples relationship management.
- Must possess at minimum a valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence that does not limit or restrict the ability to conduct the duties of the job.

Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following:

- Experience with contract management.
- Experience or education in forestry or natural resource management.
- Experience or education related to Indigenous Peoples relationship management.
- Experience conducting research and analysis related to land use, resource management, social or economic development issues.
