Client Services Assistant
$45,647.93 - $51,427.75 annually, plus a $40.42 bi-weekly isolation allowance

The Ministry of Forests works collaboratively with ministries involved in the management of natural resources to coordinate people and resources to provide exceptional service to the public. The Ministry assists clients through its FrontCounter BC service counters, which simplifies the process for citizens and natural resource businesses who are seeking information or authorizations to utilize Crown natural resources.

As the Client Services Assistant, you will provide client services, records management and financial/resource administration services for the North Island Central Coast Resource District Office, FrontCounter BC and Ministry Regional Operations, in addition to general administrative responsibilities. Specifically, service is delivered to clients of the provincial government who require support in exploring opportunities and applying for access to Crown resources (e.g.: Lands, Water, Forests, Mines, Parks, Fish/Wildlife, etc.). This front-line service is based on general knowledge of natural resource agencies and other agencies' legislation, regulations, policies and procedures. Qualifications for this role include:

- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Experience and skill in all of the following:
o Providing client/customer service to a diverse range of individuals, organizations, and industries.
o Word processing, creating spreadsheets and working with standard computer applications (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook).
o Providing client service in confrontational or highly sensitive situations.
o Providing excellent written and oral communication with a variety of clients/customers in complex situations.
o Multi-tasking, often in demanding and fast-paced environments.
