Brief Posting Description

One Permanent Full-Time Position.

Capital Power Corporation is currently seeking an innovative and results-oriented individual to join our Financial Analysis team.

Our Manager, Financial Analysis will partner with internal stakeholders to provide insights into financial and operational trends of the assigned portfolio.

Key accountabilities include:

Detailed Description

· Oversees all financial aspects associated with the assigned portfolio.
· Analyzes and reports on monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analysis with a focus on the business.
· Engages with internal stakeholders to develop the long-term plan, budget and quarterly forecast processes for assigned facilities.
· Maintains strong collaborative relationships with various internal stakeholders to understand, interpret, and develop business analysis that will improve overall financial results.
· Manages all financial processes and timelines to ensure both internal & external requirements are met.
· Provides recommendations as needed on how reporting and processes could be optimized to gain efficiencies.
· Participates on any special projects that arise.
· Provides coaching and guidance as required ensuring team accountabilities are met in a timely and accurate manner.
· Provides input into the recruitment process as needed.

Education RequirementsPost-Secondary Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting along with an Accounting Designation.
Experience7+ years progressive Accounting experience.

· Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, Oracle, and/or Hyperion.
· Working knowledge of the power generation business.
