| The Faculty of Law at Western University is in an exciting period of faculty renewal and growth. The Faculty invites applications for up to three (3) Probationary (tenure track) appointments at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor or Tenured appointments at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. Candidates may also be considered for a Limited Term appointment, with rank to be determined by qualifications and experience. The Faculty welcomes applications in all areas of law. Without limiting the call for applications, the Faculty notes a particular interest in applications in the areas of Aboriginal law, administrative law, constitutional law, criminal law, Indigenous law, intellectual property law, property law, and taxation. Applicants must have a JD, LLB, or equivalent degree, as well as a relevant advanced graduate degree or its equivalent. Candidates considered for a Probationary (tenure-track) appointment must have a superior academic record and a demonstrated record of, or demonstrated potential for, excellence in scholarly research and teaching. In addition, they should have the ability and willingness to contribute to the intellectual and scholarly life of the Faculty community and to the University more generally. Candidates considered for an appointment with Tenure must have an outstanding academic record with a strong record of academic publications and significant teaching experience. Limited Term candidates should have some advanced education in law or a significant record of successful legal practice, writing, and leadership. Successful applicants will be expected to teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate law students, establish a highly productive research program, and provide leadership in the Faculty of Law.
