Mechanic helper to assist tradespersons engaged in repair and maintenance of small vessels. Job Duties: • Move tools, equipment and other materials to and from work areas. • Clean machines and immediate work areas. • Assist in repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment. • Assist in mechanical and electrical repairs of small vessels. • Perform miscellaneous labouring activities to help tradespersons, apprentices and other workers as directed. Job requirements: • Experience with forklifts, welding, carpentry, or electrical work is an asset. • Capable of working safely in a demanding physical environment. • Comfortable working at heights and in noisy, confined and demanding physical work spaces. • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English. • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
