POST DOCTORATE FELLOW

Computational Biologist/Bioinformatician Postdoctoral Fellow Position

Applications are invited from ambitious, independent and motivated candidates to work in the area of host-microbiome interactions. This is a full funded position supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and DARPA. Projects involve interrogating the interplay between the skin and/or wound microbiome with clinical outcomes to identify novel biomarkers. The candidate will work with a highly interdisciplinary team comprised of clinical, molecular, and other computational biology collaborators across institutions. As such, they will be expected to have strong communication skills and experience working on diverse teams under a milestone-based framework. Additional desired (but not required) qualifications: 

• Strong bioinformatics analytical skill with experience working with multi-omics data including bulk RNA-sequencing and microbiome data (amplicon and metagenomics)
• Experience in integration of different data modalities including genomics and metabolomics.
• Basic understanding of microbiology
• Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills

Education: PhD with relevant experience

Salary: Range: $56,000-$80,000 + extensive benefit package. Salary dependent on qualifications and experience.
