Teaching Track Faculty AppointmentSchool of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, McMaster University
The School of Nursing is accepting applications for a teaching-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, to teach in the School’s undergraduate BScN program, as part of our renowned BScN science team, and our graduate nursing programs. The appointment will begin on July 1, 2025. Teaching-track professors in the School are expected to have a strong background in educational scholarship and pedagogy. They are engaged in activities such as curriculum development and evaluation, including formal program review processes; take a leading role in mentoring; and conduct research exploring critical elements of nursing education, including competency assessment.  Qualified candidates should be committed to fostering diverse and inclusive environments as well as to promoting experiential learning. About the School of Nursing One of three professional schools within McMaster University’s Faculty of Health Sciences, the School of Nursing offers undergraduate and graduate programs. As a member of a larger Faculty, the School of Nursing offers opportunities for interprofessional education and research. For over 75 years, the School has delivered nursing education programs that have developed generations of professional nurses who are critical thinkers and contribute to nursing practice, research, education, policy, and administration. The BScN program streams provide undergraduate nursing education to approximately 2,000 students annually. The School offers students three streams of BScN study: 1) a four-year Basic stream, 2) a 20-month Accelerated stream, and 3) a three-year post-RPN stream as well as Nurse Practitioner programs at the graduate level.
