Senior Director for Mental Health, Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre

The Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre (Maples) provides specialized community programs as well as live-in treatment services for young people aged 12 to 17 with significant mental health and behaviour difficulties. This includes youth found unfit to stand trial or not criminally responsible by reason of a mental disorder under the criminal code of Canada and requiring longer-term care. Located at a new site called həy'χʷət kʷθə sxʷhəli? leləm (Healing Spirit House), services are culturally safe and provided to Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth, families, caregivers and communities.

The Senior Director for Mental Health is accountable for the planning, development and delivery of services at Maples that achieve results which address the needs of children, youth and families. The Senior Director is designated to admit, discharge, sign Consent for Treatment forms and ensure adherence to the Mental Health Act.

Qualifications for this role include:

- Minimum Bachelor's degree, or preferably Master's degree or higher, in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or Social Work. A university degree in corporate services (i.e., business administration, public administration, finance, commerce, human resources, etc.) or other related university degree or equivalent may be considered for this position.
- Substantial progressive experience in leading the delivery of mental health treatment services to children and youth, preferably in a residential or hospital setting
Salary$107,800.20 - $137,500.00
